Rant and Rave Wednesday

Wednesday, February 17, 2010....

Any readers following me on a regular basis know if it's Wednesday, it's time to Rant and Rave about the past week. Without further adieu, here are my Rants and Raves from the past week:

Rave: I'm meeting YogaGirl in NYC tomorrow night for dinner and to see Kathy Griffin in concert and YogaGirl is TREATING me to the night. How awesome!

Rant: I live in a neighborhood where the back roads have no lines in the middle of the road...I've noticed that while driving these back roads, people forget they are to respect the rules of the road and not drive as though they are in England.

That's it for me. Yup. Totally drawing a blank, which means I would love to read any Rants and Raves you want to share? Just click on the linky thing for anyone that wants to participate in Rant and Rave Wednesday -- or leave them in the comments section here. Please, please be respectful and do not use the linky thing if you are just promoting your blog (yes, this is another Rant of mine).

Your going to get to see Kathy Griffin?? That's awesome!! I hope you have fun with your sis! =)

Tell me about it with all this snow people really need to realize to stay in their lane!!! It's insane here too in NY!

Oh btw I got Cleaving out of the library. I remember that you said it was a lil weird & odd. It is. I just started it but I'm a lil happy I didn't buy it. The butchering metaphors are a bit much to take. Thanks for the heads up girl!!

Rant- The shrimp lo mein that my husband made last night was DELICIOUS... but it has REALLY made me sick today.. wondering where the dish went wrong:(

Rave: I have managed to drink 100 ounces of water a day for the past week and today I noticed my skin is clearer and I have more energy.

Rave: Talking with you on the phone on Monday night.

Thanks for all of your advice and support. You're an awesome friend.

Hope you have fun with Yoga Girl. I think I have Thursday and Friday off so maybe I'll try calling you back then.

Hugs and love,

I'd like to rant that no one bought me a ticket to see Kathy Griffin, and my birthday is this Friday! Dammit, and last year no one took me to see LL Cool J when he came through town. Birthdays suck.

Must have been a calm and peaceful week for you. Congratulations.

I find the only thing i miss about New York is the art and music scene. I just don't miss them enough to live amidst the huddled masses. {*grin*}

I want to eat meat today but it's Ash Wednesday so I can't. And on the days I'm not allowed to eat meat I suddenly CRAVE it bigtime. Argh!

Is it okay if I drive down the middle but get over when another car comes? Especially since that's like almost never??

Have fun in NYC with Yoga Girl and Kathy Griffin!! Lucky!

I'm so glad you have a friend who would treat you to a concert-Nice.

I drive back roads (with no lines, with hills, and still snow) to and from work every day. It's a great way to wake up in the morning! not

Thanks for hosting! :)

Melanie’s Randomness – I can’t wait to see her. I saw her last year and she was amazing.
About Cleaving, it is definitely a book not for the faint hearted. I think I described it as a exquisite yet disturbing. As the book went on, I skimmed through a lot of the meat scenes, but appreciated her sharing her raw emotion. I have definitely told certain friends NOT to read it because of these scenes.

Shanel – Wow – 100 ounces each day – YOU ROCK! I’m always running short on drinking enough water and pay for it later.

Tracey – I hope you’re feeling better. Don’t think I was able to offer any advice, but glad I could listen.

Beckeye – Well, you’d have to talk to my sister about the ticket, but she was great when we saw her last year. Happy early birthday. Sorry about no LL Cool, but just replay the 2 final videos from OTT and you’ll be in heaven.

TechnoBabe – Thanks.

Dan – It was so I’m not complaining. Happy belated birthday. I’d love to live in NYC if I had the right amount of $$$. I don’t, so I just like to visit and leave.

rxBambi – she puts on a great show. No grocery store rants because hubby went for me.

Ink Obsession Designs – I can’t wait!

Jules – I will!

Brian Miller – I love those roads too! Just hate the other drivers that forget they’re on the road with other drivers.

P – Ohhhh, I remember not eating meat and giving up stuff for Lent. You’ll love my question of the week as it has something to do with Lent.

Adrienne – Thanks. Looking forward to the night.

Otin – Yeah, WTH?

Spot – That’s fine. I was talking about the people who don’t and have actually given me dirty looks because I’ve decided to follow the rules of the road – go figure. I actually drive where I want on these roads when no one else is around.

Captain Dumbass – I hate when it happens. I always think WTF? Nothing? Not one single thing….What was I asleep for the past week.

Mrs4444 – Hills+snow + possible ice = sucky morning commute.

Herding Cats – I can’t wait!

Rave: Kathy Griffin in NYC this week! As I am writing this on Friday, I will say that she as usual didn't disappoint. LMB and I especially loved her take on Hoarders, a show we both love.

Rave: Seeing LMB - had not seen her in a few weeks. And she brought me a surcee (pronounced sur-see - our expression for a little surprise) that unfortunately I cannot try yet because I gave up chocolate for Lent.

Rave: Boss is out this week. Awesome.

Rant: I have 2 good friends who are going through some rough times and I really feel for them although I have all the faith in the world they will feel better soon.
