Rant and Rave Wednesday

Wednesday, November 4, 2009....

Any readers following me on a regular basis know if it's Wednesday, it's time to Rant and Rave about the past week. Without further adieu, here are my Rants and Raves from the past week:

Rant: I had a miserable ear infection which got in the way of meeting some great bloggers on Sunday.

Rave: The meds are kicking in and I'm feeling about 90% better.

Rave: Unplugging for 24 hours. Granted, I wasn't able to follow my own rule for 24 hours, but it was a great experience (have to admit, it was a bit odd to be untethered).

Rant: Day Light Savings Time - Darker earlier - sniff, sniff.

Rant: Once I'm 100%, I'll be spending my time raking, raking and raking.

Rave: Neighbors with no boundaries finally sold their house and have moved out.

That's it for me. Any Rants and Raves you want to share? I would love to hear them. Will Work for Shoes, Da Jersey Boys and Green Eyed Momster have posted their own R&R Wednesday. Check them out.

Seems like everyone is sick this time of year.

Sometimes it's nice to be unplugged and away from it all.

DST has it's advantages and disadvantages.

We're buried here too in leaves. C'mon on over here when you're done there.

Sure, leave me out of the linky thing!!! I have one up! We will meet again! I am glad that you are getting better!

LOL – I was going to use the Linky Thing too!

Anywho, I'm posting my R&Rs as we speak...

Yay for feeling better and for neighbors without boundaries moving. I say you throw a big party!

Hugs!!

Matty - LOL about the leaves. Because I'm under the weather, hubby is out there with a super duper monster leaf blower as we speak. I think he's doing the leaves because he wants to play with the monster toy.

Melanie's Randomness - I hope you feel better soon.

Otin - stop whining, I've linked to you. Hope you're feeling better.

kk - Linked you as well.

Unknown Miami - Thanks

Green Momster - I should. At least all my tools and yard equipment are safe...

Maybe your new neighbors will like raking?

Our neighbor cleaned our gutters for us a few months after we had first moved in. He was out taking care of his and we were pulling out of the driveway to head out of town for a few days. When we came home our gutters had been cleaned. He also snow blowed our driveway for us a few times. We give him vodka in return ;0)

The Bumbles - You're lucky...Mine stole a shopvac I borrowed from my sister, used my lawnmower when not home and ruined the blade, used my yard for a treasure hunt and dug up my yard to bury items for his son to find, had guests over that peed in my yard and put out their cigarette butts on my lawn (he didn't allow guests to smoke on my property), stole my rake, pulled down a tree that was bothering him (he said it was on our property line) but it was in the middle of my yard, said they were coming to my wedding last year and didn't show and never said sorry (that cost me a pretty penny) ---- can you say he hasn't a clue what manners or boundaries are.

New England Girl – Thanks. I am too!

Kys – Thanks.

Staceyjwarner – Earaches are up there on the top of my list as horrible. I’m a very happy they left. I can’t explain it, but they are nice people who you can’t trust.

Blueviolet – I feel as though I’m missing ½ a day when it gets dark early.

Girl, inspired - Sorry to hear about your boys. I hope they get better soon.

Secretia – True.

DB – I’m trying to block out the website. Thanks for reminding me. Get rid of the microwave. Ya know some people don’t believe in them and don’t miss them one bit!

Sunshine Mama - Aren’t you in Florida? How cool does it get? Ice cream is always a good rave.

Spot – Thanks.

That corgi – I like the idea of keeping the same time, but I think the farmers may have some issues with that.

Jules – I am too, but it only gives me more time to get a Barbie for a duet with Otin’s steroid dude doll.

Ear infections blow. Glad to hear you're on the mend.

Badass - They do! The pain is gone, but my ear is still clogged and hearing yourself chew food is annoying.

Rave: hoping to start a new book soon!

hooray for the neighbors selling the house and the meds kicking in!

I miss you tons, I've been lurking in the middle of the night, with my blackberry. Commenting is insane that way.

But what I miss most is our emails- they are like therapy!

Just found your blog-- had to say, I'm so glad you too think "Falling back" is a rant. A lot of people rave about it because of that extra hour of sleep, but I hate leaving work and seeing that the sun's already down.

Love your site!
