How Wrong is this Picture.....

Wednesday, January 7, 2009.....

Yesterday, as I was returning from some errands, I noticed something unusual off the exit ramp of I-95. A man was standing by the light talking on his cellphone and I noticed him holding something folded up in his hand.

As soon as he finished his call, he unfolded the sign "unemployed and homeless -- can you spare some money".

Is it just me or should homeless people be carrying a cellphone?

Needless to say, I didn't give him money because I wouldn't know if he used the money to pay for food, shelter or his cellphone carrier.

LiLu - Maybe we didn't get the memo about panhandling in the 21st century....

However, the moment I see Manolo Blahniks on a panhandler is the day I consider this a career.....

have you seen that commercial where there is a crowd of suits standing on a corner and two mexicans drive up in a pick-up truck? One jumps out and says, "I need 2 CPAs" and the suits all start jumping up and down and scrapping with each other to get in the back of the truck.

I used to think it was the funniest thing I ever saw.
