Rant and Rave Wednesday

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Every Wednesday, I will be recapping the past week with some Rants and Raves and encourage others to share their R&Rs in the comments section. It's nice to know what makes others happy or hear what made them realize their life isn't as perfect as a Brady Bunch episode.

I'm actually happy to report I have some great Raves this week. Okay, great to me.
Without further adieu, here is my lists of Rants and Raves for the past week:

Rave: Slept through the entire night without waking up once or taking a sleeping pill. Contrary to popular belief, even when I do taking a sleeping pill, I still wake up in the middle of the night. I ate an extremely light dinner and I think that may be the key. I'm going to try this theory out for the next week.

Rave: I had a great interview last week and have been told by the HR rep that I'll probably be called back for a second one.

Rave: Seeing/seen lots of friends this week. That always brings a smile to my face.

Rave: The weather the past few days. February and 50 degrees in Connecticut. Awesome.

Rant: Local animal shelter. Hubby and I found a great dog at the shelter but because she was in heat, she was not adoptable that day. I called the shelter several times last week, even let them know that hubby and I wanted to adopt her, but on Thursday I was told I'd have to wait a week. Called Monday and found out she was adopted on Sunday.

There are probably other things, but these are the things that stick out in my mind.

Ohhhh, I'm so sorry about your puppy! That's heartbreaking. I'm sure you'll find a fantastic one, too.

AND I have actually been sleeping through the nights without help too! I think it's from eating better, walking more, drinking less... whatever it is, it's wonderful.
