What's 'UP' With Kids at a Late Show?

Monday, June 1, 2009....

The movie Up opened this weekend and although I have no children, my girlfriend and I really wanted to see it.

We figured late show, avoid the crowds because small children would be home in bed.

We go to the 9:30 p.m. show and guess what? Yup. You got it. Kids. About 20% of the audience were comprised of small children.

The youngest was around 3, oldest 9, but most were around 5 years old.

Is it me, or do I think it nuts for a small kid to be going to a movie that late at night?

That always bugs me too. Who takes their 3 year olds to a movie that ends near midnight??

It is nuts. And thanks for the heads up... I might wait to Netflix it.

Was it good?? It looks so cute!

I'm with you...this is exactly why I don't go to the movies. Even R movies are filled up with tiny childrens.

I did hear that it's best to see Up in 3D in the theater...I'd really like to see it, but just can't stomach the screaming squirming kids.

Children of the Nineties - I know.
LiLu - So worth it. Especially in 3D.
Miss Yvonne - Saw it in 3D and it was a lot of fun!

What bothers me most is when some parents let their toddlers go to bed later than I do. That's a problem. I loved the movie though! Very cute.
